The film festival focusing on the environment, sustainability and human rights is opening its doors again as the 12th edition approaches. SiciliAmbiente Film Festival will take place in San Vito Lo Capo (Sicily, Italy) in July 2020.

Worldwide filmmakers can submit their documentaries, fiction feature films, shorts, and animated films by April 30th through the online entry form at

Participants may also enter through the following platforms: FilmFreeway, Clickforfestivals, Festhome, FilmFestivalLife.

With the artistic direction of documentary filmmaker Antonio Bellia, the festival will focus not only on film screenings, but also roundtables, meetings with directors, exhibitions, workshops and other events, all in the enchanting seaside setting of San Vito Lo Capo - rich in beauty, nature, and culture.

Partners such as Amnesty International Italy, Greenpeace Italy, and other national organisations will enrich the festival with awards and fascinating initiatives.

Made possible by the Sicily Region/Sicily Film Commission, and promoted by the city of San Vito Lo Capo, Demetra Produzioni, and the cultural association Cantiere 7, the 2019 film contest includes 4 categories:
