In this personal contemplation of the eighth commandment, Heddy Honigmann talks with thieves and their victims about stealing and being robbed. From petty thefts by adolescents (lipstick, coffee, toothpaste), via the explanation of the shell trick, we go to violent street robberies, missing people in Argentina, and fare dodging on the bus. Man is vulnerable, because all kinds of things can be stolen from him, immaterial matters (a feeling of safety, the heart, a life) weighing heavier than material ones.
