For the first time we get close to the lives of four members of the Lebanese Christian elite. In one of the world´s most politically unstable countries, the protagonists are a symbol of the former “Switzerland of Middle East”, the last representatives of a golden age they are reluctant to give up.
In the midst of an everyday life marked by insecurity and war, the protagonists have overcome their fear of the future and their lifestyle, acting as if nothing had changed since the independence of Lebanon. They live in a bittersweet oasis, a mix of an intense social life with sumptuous celebrations and the extravagance of bygone times. Through an elegant mise-en-scène, we will witness the end of an era and a way of life whose days are numbered.
