Five female street vendors from El Salvador expose their lives in a theater workshop and relive their traumas of male violence with encouraging generosity. In their rehearsals they realize that they have educated their children without digesting the pain of the past. The cycle of violence is perverse, but the power of theater is stronger.
After forming a small company, they accept the challenge of performing a drama in which they play themselves to explain their life stories and experiences. Later, the group La Cachada Teatro
surprises filmmaker Marlén Viñayo, who, astonished by the courage of these women to face their past and deepest secrets, decides to record how performing arts have changed their lives.
