Deux événements en ce début d'hiver à Mafrouza. La naissance d'un petit garçon, avec son cortège d'attentes, de tensions, de joies et de fêtes. Et les fiançailles d'une jeune fille. Au fond des maisons, entre intime et sacré, entre chuchotements, cris et rituels, les destinées des individus se dessinent. Face à l'agitation collective des familles, tour à tour avec et contre elles, chacun trouve en actes comment exister et construire sa place dans le monde qui l'entoure. En actes mais aussi par la parole, qui vient ici convoquer l'imaginaire pour penser la réalité, la rendre vivable et parler de ces zones obscures de la mise au monde où se nouent la vie, la mort et la différenciation sexuelle.
Two events mark this early winter at Mafrouza. The birth of a baby boy with its accompanying awaiting, tension, joy and festivities. And the marriage of a young woman. At the back of the houses, between intimate and the sacred, among whispers, cries and rites, individual destinies are drawn. Faced with the collective agitation shaking the families, sometimes with or against them, each individual finds in act how to exist and construct their place in the world surrounding them. In act as well as in word which here evokes the imaginary in order to think the real, to make it bearable and to speak of those obscure zones where life, death and sexual differentiation emerge.
