BiFF’s mission is to discover, expose, and promote independent filmmakers while drawing worldwide attention to Brooklyn as a center for cinema. BiFF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The 10th Brooklyn International Film Festival (BiFF) has been titled IDENTITY. Since 1998, we have been searching for our own identity and for filmmakers with unique traits. On the 10th anniversary, BiFF turns inquisitive in the search for a refined identity and a new balance. BiFF 07 is about revelations. It’s about uncovering the truth that lies beneath. It is about revisiting and coming out of the shelf to leave a mark. It’s about being transparent in an opaque system.
